HOW TO REACH US

The Bialowieża Forest District is located in the eastern part of Poland, at the border with Belarus. The biggest town here is Hajnówka, best reached from Białystok via Zabłudów, Trzcianka, Narew, Nowosady. When in Hajnówka, you should turn off into the road to Kleszczele, and then the one to Orzeszkowo, where you turn right and turn off into a gravel road to Topiło, or, if you like, go along and turn left to take a tarmac to Topiło.
From Warsaw, the route first goes via Ostrów Mazowiecki, Bielsk Podlaski and from Hajnówka as described above. For those who travel from the south-west of Poland, we recommend passing Radzyń Podlaski, Międzyrzec Podlaski, Siemiatycze, and Kleszczele
Railway or bus connections.
Whichever starting point in Poland, you will need to reach Siedlce or Białystok first. From the latter you will get directly to Hajnówka. We recommend the choice of the POGODA bus company as it is relatively cheap (the fare is mere 7 zlotys). The buses depart from the PKS bus station near the Central Park shopping centre. We will pick you up from Hajnówka by appointment. In summer, we recommend the narrow-gauge forest railway from Hajnówka to Topiło; however, it is run summer-only and the rides are scheduled for a few days of the week
